Michael Jackson was a wonderful and loving human being who cared about people and the world in which he lived. It wasn't enough for him to be the King of Pop, although he had every opportunity to sit back and enjoy the adulation and celebration that came with being the world's biggest pop superstar. He was always intent on giving back to the world that gave so much to him. No other person of his stature has ever given as much as he has. Michael would open his beautiful home to disadvantaged and handicapped children, terminally ill children, and military personnel and their families. If Michael was on tour, he would make it a point to visit children in hospitals and orphanages, bringing along with him toys and gifts, but most importantly, love.

It was his love of the innocence of childhood to feel the pain felt by children all over the world, whether they were poor, hungry, or living in war-torn countries. His love of children allowed him to create a beautiful song, “Heal the World,” in which he asks humanity to use love as a basis to help heal the world of its problems and help make it a better place, particularly for the children. Michael gave so much to the world, but above all, he kept giving us his love, and he kept giving and giving until he could give no more.
